Should you intend to visit the area to view or photograph the Scheduled Monuments, we would ask you to consider the following:

You will be present within the area entirely at your own risk. The owner will not be held responsible for any injury, or death which may occur as a result of visiting the area.

Old Lawers Village is a scheduled ancient monument and as such, the use of metal detectors within the grounds is prohibited under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979.

You may not photograph or film for commercial purposes without firstly arranging and agreeing on terms with the owner.

Camping in any location, and for any time period is prohibited by law.

The lighting of fires or barbeques is not permitted.

Fishing and any form of watersports are not allowed.

You are prohibited from bringing and consuming alcohol at any part of the Old Village.

The taking of any stone or any other item or ‘souvenir’ is prohibited and may be a criminal act. We reserve the right to report all such matters to Tayside Police.

There is no vehicular access permitted to the site. The steep footpath from the A827 is not suitable for any vehicle.

Please take home your litter, leaving the Old Village as you found it, for others to experience. There are no bins provided.
